The virus of violence has claimed more victims. It is time to start a new virus, of hope. Join with interfaith leaders, neighbors, and students from General Seminary and Hebrew Union College this Sunday, April 21, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at The General Theological Seminary. We will offer many of our traditional prayers for the dead. We will name the cities that have endured such violence. We will offer up the letters of the alphabet so that God, who knows all names, can arrange them in the right order. As we turn toward our vocation as peacemakers, we will light candles and offer prayers for peace, and go in peace, to love and serve—all.
Please enter General Seminary through the 20th St. gate between 9th and 10th Avenues. For more information, contact the Rev. Stephen Holton, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
