Ancient Sites of Israel

The stories of the Bible can often feel like sacred fairytales from a surreal land. Some things can’t be learned on the internet; they must be experienced first-hand. By walking through the Galilean towns Jesus visited, overlooking the valleys of ancient Israel’s battles, and wading into the Jordan River, this strangeness may become something far greater than myth.

Join The General Theological Seminary this January on a trip to the ancient sites of Israel, as we explore the cultural, historical, and geographical features of the Holy Land, in order to illuminate the stories of the Hebrew Scriptures and the Gospels. See the Pools of Bethesda described in John 5, Mount Carmel described in 1 Kings 18, the town of Nazareth, the city of Jericho, the ancient fortress of Masada, the Sea of Galilee, and much, much more.

Included:
• Accommodations – private rooms are available at an additional $849
• Breakfast and dinner daily
• Transportation around Israel
• Sightseeing entrance fees
• Lectures

Airfare:
• Responsibility of participant. Fares can be relatively inexpensive if purchased in advance.
