Nightwatch Dusk & Dawn at Cathedral – 12-13 Oct

Nightwatch Dusk and Dawn is designed for adults seeking time away from their busy lives for soul renewal and spiritual direction.

This two-part series will offer a Friday evening of meditation, chanting and a teaching from a spiritual leader.  Saturday will be a half-day retreat in a workshop style setting, led by a guest facilitator.  Participants will have time to learn and practice the tools of meditation, chant and relaxation, as well as group reflection, question and answer, and private prayer.  Read more...

Anti-racist Church Meeting, a Pot-Luck and a Book

Reminder:  A meeting to discuss building anti-racist churches will be held in one of the library rooms on Thursday, September 27, at 9:30am and again at 1:30pm.

Also, Thomas DeWolf and Sharon Morgan will be at a potluck at the Community Church of NY, 40 East 35th Street, New York, on Friday, October 19, 5:30 – 8:30pm to discuss their book – Gather at the Table

Centering Prayer Group Forming for GTS Community

A Centering Prayer group is forming and you (all members of the community – spartners, students, faculty, staff) are invited to participate as often or as little as you choose.  We will meet each Wednesday afternoon at 4:55 pm in the basement common room of Dodge Hall.  We will enter in silence, sit in Centering Prayer for about 20 minutes and end at the ringing of the Angelus Bells bidding Evening Prayer or Evensong.   Read more...

GTS Flag Football – open to all

It’s football season. You’ve heard about GTS flag football, you’ve seen college football on the TV, and soon you will have the chance to get out on the field and get in the game.

The game vs. Virginia Theological Seminary has been rescheduled, due to a conflict with the spartner retreat.  The new date is Saturday, November 10.  Mark your calendars!
