General Seminary Shows Large Presence at General Convention

 

The General Theological Seminary had a major presence at this summer’s General Convention, the triennial meeting of The Episcopal Church’s legislative body, held July 5-12, 2012, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Beginning July 2, GTS leaders, trustees, faculty, and students hosted GTS special events and booths, greeted deputies and alumni/ae, and helped tell the wider Episcopal Church about the seminary.

[GenCon] GTS to Present Visioning Statement at General Convention Dinner #GC77

On Tuesday evening, July 10, 2012, General Seminary will hold a dinner for many in the seminary’s wider community at The Columbia Club in Indianapolis. At the dinner, Associate Dean Patrick Malloy will present a Visioning Statement for the seminary’s future. For more than a year, a team established by the the Rt. Rev. Mark S. Sisk, Bishop of New York and Chair of the GTS Board of Trustees, and led by Trustee William Clarkson IV worked tireless and collaboratively with trustees, faculty, seminary staff, students, and alumni/ae, to develop a new vision for General Seminary’s educational mission and its relationship with the wider church and the world.  Read more...
