How has your seminary experience inspired you to proclaim the Gospel in a new and different way. What is your vision for where the church need to be? Did you know that funding is available to help you implement your vision? Evangelism for the 21st Century grants are available to Episcopal seminarians, faculty, staff and their spouses/partners to develop and support the innovative evangelism required today. Examples of recently awarded grants include: developing a program of pastoral care and spiritual resources for LGBTQ teens; developing contemporary evangelism tracts for social media; facilitating clergy training in congregational development in Colombia. Dr. Deirdre Good is currently working on a project to develop learner-centered Bible study in the parish setting.
EES Executive Director Day Smith Pritchartt will be on campus Tuesday, March 25 to explain the grants program and meet with prospective grantees. Come meet her at a forum (details: time, place) and hear about recent grants awarded by EES. You may also sign up for an individual appointment with Ms. Pritchartt through Kim Robey. Day is ready, willing and able to help you understand the grant criteria and how your idea may be eligible for an E-21 grant. She may be reached at (703) 807-1862 or daysmithpritchartt@ees1862.org. Applications for the fall grants cycle are due September 22, 2014. Spring cycle applications will be due in February 2015.
