Sunday School Teacher — Church of the Ascension
Great Opportunity for Seminarian or Family Member
Mother Liz Maxwell at The Church of the Ascension, Fifth Avenue at Tenth Street, is seeking a teacher for their “one room schoolhouse” Sunday School. Their kids are young (primarily 3-8) and there is a small number of them. They are looking for someone who can work with clergy to design and implement a program that will engage young chilldren and their families, using story-telling, scripture, worship, and the arts to help them learn about and grow in faith.
The position is scheduled to begin the week of September 5 with September 13 being the first Sunday. It runs through May 20, 2018. Stipend is $18/hour, expected five hours a week.
